Our story
Meadows & Mountains exists to connect couples, vendors, tourism and unforgettable mountain experiences, and to make planning a Rockies wedding feel like the adventure it should be.
The Rockies deserved their own wedding fair
Couples were already dreaming of mountain weddings, searching for venues, vendors and inspiration scattered across the web and a long drive from the people who could actually help. There was no single place to see it, taste it and book it.
Cheanise and Brody Bestluck weren't only venue owners in the heart of Rock Lake Provincial Park, they also carried a wish and a dream to be married and witnessed by the majestic mountains. Being wed in their own location was a dream come true, and it's the reason this fair exists.
After more than 20 years of hosting formal milestones, unique events and weddings, they're passionate about bringing a one-of-a-kind event to the area, one that shows couples more than a Google search ever could, and lets them truly sense, on every level, what their dream day could and would look like.
This is about connection, not commission. We curate vendors who are here to connect with and support you, not to sell to you in a rushed afternoon. Hosting this wedding fair is the cherry on top of everything the Bestlucks have built: a way to showcase the many incredible vendors across the meadows and mountains of Western Canada.
From the meadows to the mountains
The name was chosen with real intention. Our vision honours everything that makes this one of the most extraordinary places in Canada to begin a love story, stretching from the meadows west of Edmonton, through the foothills of Hinton, Jasper and the Northern Rockies. From there it reaches north to Grande Prairie, west to McBride and Valemount, and south through Abraham Lake and Nordegg. Every corner is filled with breathtaking venues, gifted creators and moments couples never forget.
Yet for more than two decades this mountain corridor hasn't had a wedding fair to call its own. In that time destination weddings, intimate celebrations and adventure elopements have only grown, and couples still spend hours online trying to piece their dream day together. Meadows & Mountains is here to change that, one immersive weekend at a time.
We host two three-day collections a year, the Summer/Fall Collection every November and the Winter/Spring Collection every February, growing into the annual signature event this region has been missing.
